Day Thirty-two:

I wonder too if this date — February 1st — is a big day when it comes to resolutions.  Have many people kept those resolutions?  Have they fallen by the wayside?  Are they losing steam? Since this blog was the result of my own New Year’s resolution, the benchmark of passing the first month made me wonder.

I’m feeling like I’m hitting a bit of a stride with it, and it’s feeling natural, comfortable and something that has blended nicely with the other activities of the day, for the most part.  There are moments when I feel like I shouldn’t go out and photograph, or at the end of the day when I need to post and I haven’t just yet, but for the most part it’s been pretty consistent.

This morning I set out to find a photograph.  It’s a flower photo and while I didn’t quite pull it off today, I’ll keep looking over the course of the next couple days.  There’s a reason I really want this photograph and I’ll share that when I do eventually make that post (it’s got some personal, family symbolism).

Today’s photo was just a little play date with Kate, Sparky, Marlee and Olivia.  They were at their long time favorite park which we refer to as “Marlee Park” since it’s where the girls have played since they were about 3 or 4 months old.  One of the little pocket parks that are throughout Ladera, it’s got something for little kids like Sparky and up.  And, from a photographer’s standpoint, the light is always cool in this little place.

Kate enjoyed pushing her brother on the swing and in no time turned it into a bit of a ride for herself.
